Remote Monitoring — Connected Car Intelligence
Tesla owners open an app and see their car's status — doors locked, battery charged, parked at home. Everyone else gets nothing. HALO gives you the same experience: real-time vehicle status, event history, and push notifications, accessible from your phone, anywhere in the world.
The Tesla mobile app is the gold standard for vehicle monitoring. You can check if your car is locked, see its exact location, review trip history, get notified when someone opens the door, and monitor battery state — all without walking to the garage. It feels like the future because it is: your car is a connected device that reports its status to your phone.
But Tesla built that connectivity into a $50,000+ vehicle. HALO brings the same capability to any car with a $300 Android head unit. The hardware is already in your dash. The CAN bus data is already flowing. HALO just connects the two — your car's data to your phone — through the screen you already own.

Open your phone and see your car's current state at a glance. Is the ignition on or off? Are the doors locked? Is the alarm armed? What's the battery voltage? Where is it parked? HALO decodes your vehicle's CAN bus and presents it as a clean, readable status card — the same information your car knows, now available on your phone.
HALO records every vehicle event with a timestamp and GPS coordinate. Ignition on at 7:42 AM. Driver door opened at 7:43 AM. Alarm triggered at 3:17 AM. Each event is logged locally on the head unit and uploaded to your cloud dashboard when connected. Scroll through days and weeks of vehicle activity. If something happened, you'll know exactly what and when.
You do not need to check the app to know something happened. HALO sends push notifications to your phone for events that matter — alarm triggered, geofence crossed, ignition started outside your normal schedule, motion detected while the car should be parked. Configure which events trigger notifications and which are logged silently.
HALO understands that your head unit powers down when the car is off. The dashboard displays your last known vehicle state with a "last seen" timestamp so you always know how fresh the data is. Events that occur between power cycles are buffered and uploaded on the next ignition-on. No data is lost — just delayed until the car wakes up.
Beyond binary states (on/off, locked/unlocked), HALO streams live engine data to your dashboard — RPM, coolant temperature, intake temperature, battery voltage, fuel level, and more. Monitor your vehicle's health in real time while someone else is driving, or review telemetry logs after a trip to spot anomalies.
One HALO account, multiple vehicles. Each car with a HALO-equipped head unit appears on your dashboard with independent status, events, location, and telemetry. Switch between vehicles with a single tap. Useful for families, small fleets, or anyone with more than one car to keep track of.
Your vehicle dashboard is a mobile-first web app — no app store download required. Open it in your phone's browser or add it to your home screen as a PWA. The interface is designed for one-hand use: large tap targets, high-contrast dark theme, and information density that respects your time.
The home screen is a full-screen dark map showing your vehicle's location. Below it, expandable panels for each module — My Car status, Alerts, APEX gauges, Navigation. Everything loads in under 2 seconds. No clutter, no ads, no upsell banners.

Your vehicle data is sensitive. HALO treats it accordingly. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Authentication uses magic link email — no passwords to leak. Row-level security ensures you can only access your own vehicles. There is no shared dashboard, no social features, no data selling. Your car's data belongs to you and is visible only to you.
The head unit powers down with the ignition, so live monitoring pauses. Your dashboard shows the last known state with a timestamp. When the car starts again, any buffered events are uploaded and the live connection resumes. You always know the last status and when it was recorded.
The monitoring dashboard is a mobile-first web app — no download required. Open it in your phone's browser or save it to your home screen as a PWA. The Android APK runs on the head unit itself and is installed automatically.
GPS location, ignition state, and trip history work on every vehicle. CAN bus data (door states, alarm status, coolant temp, RPM, etc.) depends on your vehicle's decode profile. Universal OBD-II data is available with a Bluetooth adapter. The signal list expands continuously as more vehicles are supported.
Most factory apps (Nissan Connect, FordPass, myBMW) require an active subscription, provide limited data, and often have reliability issues. HALO provides deeper telemetry, faster updates, no subscription fee, and works across all your vehicles from a single dashboard — regardless of make.
No. Row-level security ensures that only the authenticated account owner can view their vehicle data. There are no shared accounts, no guest access, and no public URLs. Your vehicle data is private to you.
